Anime Summary #1: Sword Art Online (SAO)

In the year 2022, Kirito (the main character), a solo player who was lucky enough to test the beta version, and 9,999 others trapped inside a game, unable to logout; the only way to live is to win. Dying in the game means dying in real life, trying to take the Nerve Gear ( Nerve Gear, a virtual reality helmet that stimulates the user's five senses with their brain; players can experience and control their in-game characters with their minds) off in the real word, also, results in death. There are 100 floors the players must clear in order to beat the game. Two years later, about 6,000 players are still left with 26 floors left to clear.

Every time I watch a new episode I get sadder and sadder knowing that more players have died and, even though its not real, when I watch anime I really feel whatever the character is feeling, for example (SPOILER ALER! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!) when Sachi died and gave Kirito that Christmas present, I legitimately cried. So you guys should watch it!

This is what Nerve Gear looks like.

  1. It sounds like this was a sad one. I like the fact that anime creates such strong emotional responses in the viewers.

    1. Many animes have that strong connection because the viewers watch the character develop and it is very similar to the way many people read books.

  2. That so interesting. I don't really like the CARTOONS you talk about. They're not exciting.
